History
In 1960, the local flora and animals were protected when Mount Abu Sanctuary was designated as a wildlife sanctuary. These days, visitors from all over the world flock to this refuge to experience Rajasthan’s natural beauty.
Animal Refuge Across its 288 square kilometers, Mount Abu is sprawling. It goes through a range of mountains, from Gurushkhar at 1722 meters to others at 300 meters.

The last known sightings of the Asiatic lion and Bengal tiger occurred several decades ago, but they were formerly residents of this reserve.
